As we welcome a new year, the Asian American Unity Coalition extends warm greetings to our members, partners, and friends across the nation. This is a moment not only for celebration, but for reflection—on the challenges we have faced, the progress we have made, and the work that still lies ahead.
The past year has reminded us how fragile justice can be, and how essential community truly is. We have witnessed policies that divide families, raids that sow fear, and rhetoric that undermines the dignity of immigrants and refugees. Yet we have also seen extraordinary acts of courage and solidarity: neighbors standing up for one another, communities rallying for fairness, and individuals—across race, background, and generation—speaking out for what is right.
AAUC’s mission has always been rooted in unity. We believe that the strength of the Asian American community lies not only in our diverse cultures and histories, but in our shared commitment to fairness, inclusion, and the belief that every person deserves a voice. Last year, we saw that spirit in action—from advocacy efforts to community education, from leadership development to coalition-building across communities of color.
As we step into the new year, let us carry forward that spirit of hope and determination. Let us continue to uplift one another, to stand with our immigrant neighbors, and to work toward a country that honors its promise of equality for all. Let us celebrate our heritage, our resilience, and our collective power to shape a more just and compassionate future.
May the coming year bring peace, health, and renewed purpose to you and your loved ones. Together, we will continue building the America we believe in—one where unity triumphs over division, and where every community can thrive.
Happy New Year from AAUC. May our shared journey continue with strength and hope.
